NO MORE PIKA
“For we shall not repeat evil” - Keiko Ogura
Our mission is to spread awareness of the dangers and impact of nuclear weapons. We want to create an accessible way for children to be educated on the catastrophic consequences of the use of nuclear weapons. This is one step forward in preventing them from being used in the future.
The book
We donated children’s books such as Hiroshima No Pika by Toshi Maruki, a picture book that tells the story of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima through the eyes of a young girl named Mii. This book shows the destructive nature of nuclear bombs and the effects to the Hiroshima citizens. We donated approximately 30 books to New York schools and public libraries to spread awareness on the dangers of nuclear warfare.
We are handing out copies of this book for free. If you would like to order a copy for yourself, click the button below
In 2024, we visited Hiroshima and interviewed an atomic bomb survivor to understand her experience as a child during World War II. A summarized version is available below!
